COVID UPDATE 9/05/21

  • To help keep our hostel community safe, we require all guests to be vaccinated for COVID.  This means 2 shots of the Prizer/Moderna vaccine or equivalent, or at least two weeks since receiving the J&J vaccine.  Travelers will be required to show documented proof on arrival.  Email or leave us a note in the comments section when making your reservation confirming your vaccination status and date/type of vaccine.
  • Due to the rising number of breakthrough COVID infections around the state, we also require guests to wear a mask in our common spaces.
  • We are unable to host travelers who are feeling ill.  Please notify staff if you are not feeling well, which includes a cough, runny nose, and/or a fever.  We will help you find more suitable accommodation arrangements and access to health care in Anchorage.

Maximum Stay

  • Our hostel is tailored for travelers visiting Alaska.  We have a 7 night maximum stay, however, if you would like to stay longer due to a conference or another event, please contact us ahead of time.  Visit our “Explore AK” section for information on recommended itineraries and places to visit.  Alaska is a large state and many tourist attractions require long drives and staying overnight in other towns.

Quiet Hours

  • We enjoy good conversations and a welcoming community atmosphere but it’s important our guests get a good nights rest.  Our quiet hours begin from 10 pm to 7 am.

Major Credit Card

  • Guests must own an international passport or major credit card.  You can pay in cash upon arrival or use your credit card with a $2 processing fee.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations require 48 hours advanced notice.  You will be charged the first nights stay if your reservation is not cancelled within 48 hours of the arrival date.

Check-in Hours

  • Check in hours are from 4pm to 11 pm.  If you would like to arrive before or after, an early or late check-in can be arranged with advanced notice.  Write us a message under the comments section when booking your reservation.  Those receiving late check-in instructions may have the first night of their stay charged to their credit card prior to receiving instructions with access to the hostel and their room.

Minimum Age

  •  No children 12 or under, ages 13-17 yrs must be accompanied by an adult.

Maximum Group Size: 12

  • As a small hostel of 25 beds, we limit our group sizes to 12 or less.  Exceptions may be made in certain circumstances. Ex.  during our low season (May and September).  Please contact us first for large group reservations over 12 people.

Climbing Bunk Bed Ladders

  • Our dorm rooms have bunk beds with top bunks requiring climbing a ladder.  Bottom beds are on a first come first serve availability.  If it is difficult for you to climb a ladder to a top bunk, write us a message in the comments section when booking.   We will try to place you in a bottom bunk if available.  We are not responsible for injuries resulting from climbing a ladder or sleeping on a top bunk.

ADA Accessibility

  • Unfortunately, we are not ADA accessible.  There are stairs to the entry of the hostel.  However, if you would still like to stay with us, we will try to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
