Office Hours

We are open seasonally from May to September.  Our office hours are 8 am to 11 pm.  If your flight is arriving after this time, we can organize a late check in by emailing us or giving us a call.  We can also be reached on what’s app.  Keep in mind arrivals after 12 am require a reservation for the previous nights bed.  Ex.  if you arriving early Wednesday morning at 2 am and would like a bed, you need to book a bed for Tuesday night.   Take a look below for directions to our hostel.  Any questions?  Feel free to send us an email.

Base Camp Anchorage hostel is conveniently located in midtown Anchorage with access from the airport just 15 minutes away!

BY TAXI (10-15 Minutes)

A taxi or Uber from the airport will cost between $12-$20 US dollars.  As soon as you exit the airport at baggage claim, walk straight ahead and you will see the line for taxis.  For mountaineers or cyclists with large luggage, van taxi’s are also available.   

BY BUS (15 minutes)

Buses from the airport (domestic) to our hostel costs $2 dollars and drops you off on the corner from our hostel.  As you exit baggage claim at the airport, walk to the right to find the bus stop.  Take either the Route # 40 or 65 bus Inbound toward downtown.  After 15 minutes on the bus exit at 26th Avenue just past Northern Lights Blvd.  You will see a white windmill next to 26th ave on the right side.  Walk down 26th Avenue on the same side where the bus drops you off, we are located half a block (less than one minute) walk on the left.  Look for the green building with solar panels.  The bus leaves every 15 to 20 minutes from the airport beginning at 6:28 am until 11:42 pm (Monday through Friday).  On weekends it leaves at 7:52 am until 7:53 pm.  Please note:  the bus requires exact change if paying in cash or you can download the “People Mover mTicket” app onto your phone where you can pay with your credit card.  It’s easy to download and remove at the end of your travels.
