Many outdoor enthusiasts are drawn to Alaska’s mountains.  During the winter, the backcountry is a skier’s paradise.  Luc Mehl has explored hidden gems all over Alaska.

Last winter, he and some friends traversed 150 miles from Thompson Pass to Palmer near Anchorage.
